Scene 1
Denis is calling the police.
Police officer: Hello, the police here. How can I help you?
Denis (crying): Hello, this is Denis speaking. My friend Martin was sick last week, so I gave him my
notebook...
Police officer (rolling his eyes): Yes...
Denis: And when he returned it, everything had been erased!
Police officer: OK...what's his phone number?
Denis: Er, let me find it... It's 063123654.
Police officer: Well, I'll call him and we'll see what he has to say. Try to calm down. Goodbye!

The police officer is calling Martin.
Martin: Hello, who's there?
Police officer: This is police officer Robinson. I've just received a call from young Denis. Do you
know what happened to his notebook?
Martin (worried): No... (he hangs up)
Police officer is calling Denis.
Police officer: Hello, this is police officer Robinson. We're going to Martin's house. He'll tell us why
he did it.
Denis: OK, thank you.

Scene 2
At Martin's house police officer Robinson is questioning Martin.
Police officer: Well, well, well... Why did you do it?
Martin: I didn't do anything!
Police officer: You're lying!
Martin: No, I'm not!
Police officer: So who did it?
Martin: Well, it's a long story...
Police officer: Just tell us.
Martin (shaking): My friend Vladko came to my house and erased Denis's notebook while I wasn't
in the room.
Police officer: Where is he now?
Martin: He should be at home.
Police officer: And his phone number?
Martin: It's 064789456.
Police officer: Thank you. We'll call him. But we'll come back if you've been lying to us!
The police leave Martin's house.

Scene 3
The police officer is calling Vladko, but he isn't answering his phone. He's eating tomato soup. The
police officer decides to go to Vladko's house. He rings the doorbell. Vladko opens the door with a
spoon in his hand.
